The Design Manager develops and drives the space planning and interior design advisory service for existing Hotels, primarily Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, that are implementing the newly created design.
The role remit includes the support of projects through all stages of the design and construction process from feasibility assessment through design, construction and delivery back to the Operating team.
- Support the Midscale Innovation Rollout Team with the owner engagement to ensure adoption of the new designs and F&B / service concepts for Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express; develop bespoke presentations as required.
- Assess each existing estate hotel against the requirements for the Brand; establish the architectural and interior design scope.
- Support the Owner’s architects team to develop the overall programme and special layout of the public spaces.
- Review the external Interior Design consultant’s presentations and design recommendations in line with Brand requirements.
- Support the IHG R&B team in developing new concepts.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 8 years of professional experience in an architecture / interior design consultancy or a multi-national service branded environment; with a strong Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) knowledge.
To be successful, you’ll have good computer application skills in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office & Project, InDesign, Outlook etc. and be comfortable taking responsibility for defining what you need to deliver results.
You will be able to work on your own initiative and demonstrate an ability to work within tight deadlines and have demonstrable experience managing stakeholder relationships.
You must be fluent in German and English and other relevant languages are an advantage. There will be expectation you can travel frequently within the region to perform the role.
